So today I met up with Sean, and boy did he kill me :) Ha! I have been feeling better from the illness/allergyness (or whatever it is) but my nose was still very stuffy making it hard to breath very well. I got there and warmed up just over a mile and did some drills. Then started the workout. So to explain why it was so difficult (because it really should not have been) it was SUPER windy. He had me doing a workout that went 4*(400m w/100m jog rest-200m @ :29) w/ 3:30 between sets. So I ran my first 400m in 1:08 (I had to go :30 seconds the first 200m, and then fight the wind the last 200m) rested for about 30-45 seconds of jogging then :29 200m. afterwards I walked back to start the next set where I did the same thing (same times). On my my third he wanted me to go faster, he wanted me to go out :28  the first 200m and then coast in faster than 1:08. So I did that and came through 1:04. Jogged my 100m and did my 200m (:29 seconds again). On my fourth set I did the same thing but came through even faster (1:03) the first 400m. After this he had me  jog two laps then had me do two more 400m @ :61. This workout hurt VERY bad. I wouldn't be surprised I went through more pain doing this than any race I have done all year. Finished off with a 1.5 mile cooldown

PM:  Warmed up a mile and a half, and then I met up with Sean again for a legit speed workout. We did 13*100m w/100m jog rest starting at :14.0 and incrementally getting faster till my last 4 at around 12.2. I did these into a little headwind, but nothing like this morning. Afterwards we went over some strategy/psychology stuff. It was very helpful working with Sean again I now have a renewed sense of confidence and ideas as I prepare for the upcoming races. Sean does not want me to "run through" races any more. I will now put big emphasis on each individual race I do, and ensure that I run to my best capability. Finished with 1.5 miles easy.

Workout: AM: 4*400-200 (400m @ 1:05 ave w/100m jog rest-200m @ :29 w/3:30 rest between sets), 2*400m @ 1:01.

PM: 13*100m Progressive (starting at :14 and working down to :12)

I thought you were supposed to take it easy ;) I saw Kinikini ran a 2:07, but do you know why Truman was slow (2:14...) what to do about Jesse...
