So yesterday after practice I was talking to one of my teammates. I told him I wanted to break the school record this year in the 800m, and he didn't think I could (he told me I wasn't an 800 runner...ha! I had to prove him wrong.) So I asked him if I ran a 1:59 800m in practice the next day (today) if he would believe me, and he said he would. So I talked to coach about it and he set up a time trial for me to do and got the team to cheer me on. I also asked Truman if he would pace me for the first lap, and he agreed. I went out the first lap perfectly :58   seconds. Then the second lap went perfect as well, and I felt great right up to the end. I came through in a new PR of 1:59.5 ! Ha I was so happy, and David came up and hugged me afterwards and was like "okay I believe you now". Coach was super excited because he didn't really think I would do it either. Today is a good day :) School record...watch out :) After the time trial I did a 4 mile jog but my hamstring started to act a little funny so I turned back early.

Great job Nephi, you weren't even fresh with that workout yesterday. Good luck with the 1:54!
