AM: This morning we were just doing 4 miles, and me and Taylor went super fast, I guess we were just feeling really good, we finished the route in 23 minutes! I don't understand how Taylor kept for me considering that's like his race pace! For some reason he can run so fast in practices, but then race a minute slower than me...I don't know?

PM: We ran 6 miles pretty easy about 43 and a half minutes in the heat, then ran a 200 and 100m sprints, and I did a few miles of light jogging by myself.

AM: We did a 4 mile tempo run, and Kaden (who is graduated) came to workout with us, and he stayed with me the whole way until the last little bit, but I think I killed him :) He was in pain, and was bent over panting like crazy when we got done, I kind of feel bad, apparently he hasn't been running much lately. But anyways it was a good workout Taylor said he finished in 24 minutes, but he had to go to the bathroom so he slowed down a bit and me and Kaden got a little bit ahead, so I think we got closer to 23 minutes, for some reason I always end up going super fast in the mornings.

PM: We did a half mile warmup then ran 1.5 miles to Iverson hill, and did 5 sprints all the way up, about 200m, and then we did 8 sprints about halfway up, and then 1.5 miles back (which hurt more than the hill sprints themselves). Then we did a half mile cool down, I didn't feel the best this workout, because my legs felt heavy, but I do know I'm a lot faster at hills then I was last year.

AM: No practice :( Rest day.

PM: .5 mile warm up (.75 if you count the speed walking to the grass :) ) We went to the grass next to the baseball field and did 10*400's in the grass, but coach said it was a bit longer than 400's which made sense, for the not super impressive times. 1:21, 1:19, 1:18, 1:20, 1:20, 1:19, 1:21, 1:20, 1:20, 1:15. I'm reciting these by memory but I know it's something like that, coach said I better go faster the last one, because she was getting sick of saying 1:20 every time :) It was this muddy grass field with tight turns, so it hurt... a lot! the last one I thought I'd be funny and dove at the end, haha, but to be honest I kind of didn't want to get back up. And then somebody had the bright idea of running our 1.5 mile cool down on the road, where rocks where everywhere...NOT! It hurt worse than the workout, my feet are still in pain :) Then we did some strides on the football field. And I did a little extra running around my house to get today's mileage at least at 6 miles today. Taylor said he would call me and we might run an easy trail run tonight, but I doubt it will happen, no offense if your reading this Taylor :)

AM: We ran 4 miles at the Sky Mountain golf course this morning, I went a pretty decent pace around 7 minute mile on rolling hills (It's a hilly golf course) not big hills, just a lot of them. But Jesse was running ahead of me and Taylor, and I was joking by saying he probably thinks we're just doing one loop, instead of two, so anyways we get to the point were you start the second loop and he turned to where we finish at the parking lot, haha, apparently he really did think we were only doing one lap, so then I picked up the speed the second loop and finished at a decent pace. I always like to run the first have of my runs in practice slower than the second. The way I view it is if you run super fast the first half of the run (like a lot of people on my team try to do) you end hurting and have to slow down the second halve, and the whole run your in pain, and your legs will end up more sore. But if you start of comfortably, then go faster the last half, then you only hurt the last little bit, plus you get faster less tiring workouts.

PM: We had a planking competition, and this kid that's on the soccer team who joined recently planked for 16 MINUTES...CRAZY! Then we did a 6 miler, but about 3 miles into the run I had to go to the bathroom, so I stopped at the Tanner Butler's house (a teammate who is now graduated) but the only person that answered the door was his little brother who doesn't know me...well anyways I won't get to specific just know it was embarrassing. But when I got back on the road I was feeling great, and picked up the pace, and surprisingly still beat a few people. Then  when I got home I did some light jogging to cool down for the day.

Night: Did some circuit training with my Dad and my cousin, and I paced her in some running workouts.

AM: I felt soooo tired when I woke up, and for some strange reason I had trouble breathing, we played some running games in cross country this morning, and I felt awful :( When I went to school I kept on thinking about going home I my head killed, my nose was really runny, and my throat hurt to swallow... But I'm pretty sure I will be better by tommorrow...I hope. Usually when I get sick it doesn't last a long time, plus none of those factors affect my time, so I can always just suck it up and still race well tomorrow.

PM: I did a couple of miles at the grass next to my house. And then a few sprints, still feel sick, but I think I'll get better.

Worst race of my life... My head was pounding when I woke up, my neck killed, I was mentally just out of it, and couldn't think straight, when the race started I was just really tired, I was super congested, and had trouble breathing, but at least I beat this kid in the final sprint.

17 SECONDS SLOWER THAN LAST YEAR :(
